Nis man creates chaos: Slaps teenager, then pulls a knife, but comes across someone stronger
The perpetrator cut his opponent's arm with a knife, but then received blows to the head
22-year-old Nis resident caused an unusual incident in Vojvode Tankosica Street last night, to eventually end up in the hospital with head injuries. At around 8:15 pm, out of the blue, he attacked two boys who were playing basketball in front of a building where they live, and then continued to run riot with a knife in his hand.
The upset 15-year-olds whom we found with their parents near the scene of the incident last night, said it seemed that the young man was not completely in his right mind.
"He approached us and mumbled a question, mentioned someone called Luka, he asked us to tell him something, but we understood almost nothing. I told him I didn't know what he wanted... I replied 'no' to everything he said.
That seemed to annoy him because he approached me and slapped me. Then he went on, and my friend and I followed him slowly to see where he was going," says the teenager.
The teenagers were not even aware that they could have been hurt until the attacker turned towards them with a knife in his hand.
"A man who was in a car with his wife and child noticed him and realized that we were in danger. He came out with some stick and confronted him. He managed to overcome him, but got wounded with the knife.
My dad arrived too, so we both held him until the police came. He did not want to calm down in any way, and he cut the dad with the knife," the young Nis resident describes the incident.
An ambulance arrived and took care of both the attacker and the people he cut with a knife. An examination was underway that will show the extent of their injuries.
The police confirmed that a disturbance of public order and peace had occured, that all the circumstances of this event were being determined and that police officers were conducting an investigation.
