EPS: Chinese companies are paying for electricity

The public company Electric Power Industry of Serbia denies allegations that appeared in a part of the public that Chinese companies are not paying for electricity

Namely, the company Zelezara Smederevo d.o.o. is in bankruptcy, so the entire amount of the claim was reported to the bankruptcy assets and recognized by the Commercial Court. The new owner regularly pays all bills to EPS.

Serbia Zijin Copper d.o.o. from Bor is the owner of the former RTB Bor. The new owner took over the rights and obligations of RTB Bor and continued to operate under a new name. The debt of the Mining and Smelting Basin Bor incurred in the period from April 1 to October 31, 2016 was rescheduled and the new owner Serbia Zijin Copper d.o.o. settles it in time, in accordance with the agreed reprogram and repayment plan.

We note that only this year, the amount of debt was reduced by 1.37 billion dinars, EPS said.
