Bosnia and Herzegovina (once again) declares coronavirus epidemic
The decision was made by the Federal Ministry of Health, after obtaining opinions of the Federal Ministry of Finance, the Federal Ministry of Justice and the Government Office for Legislation and Compliance with EU Regulations
The Federation of BiH (one of Bosnia's two entities) has again declared a coronavirus epidemic, and that decision came into force today after it was published in the Official Gazette.
The decision was made by the Federal Ministry of Health, after obtaining opinions of the Federal Ministry of Finance, the Federal Ministry of Justice and the Government Office for Legislation and Compliance with EU Regulations, writes the Banja Luka portal Nezavisne.
The proclamation of the coronavirus epidemic in the entire territory of FBiH implies more operative activities of all competent institutions that act in the given situation, and implement measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in the territory of FBiH.
The order states that during the coronavirus epidemic, measures are taken under the Law on Protection of the Population from Infectious Diseases, which, among other things, means sanitary supervision at border crossings located in the territory of FBiH, as well as implementation of measures.
Regulations include:
* performing sanitary supervision at BiH border crossings
* introduction of quarantine
* providing necessary quantities of vaccines
* immunization of the population when a vaccine becomes available
* implementation of other measures ordered by the Minister of Health, that is, the Government of BiH.
These orders will be financed from the BiH budget "according to financial capabilities in the fiscal year."
