Numbers we've been waiting for: Industrial production in Serbia is recovering
A recovery of industrial production can be expected
Based on the results of the survey, which was published in the latest issue of the "Monthly Analysis and Trends (MAT)" bulletin, which covered the most important industrial companies, industrial production is expected to grow by 4.3 percent in June compared to May.
A previous survey showed an increase in industrial production in May compared to April, by 19.1 percent. The analysis of the collected sample for June indicates significant stabilization, normalization and a slight increase in industrial production compared to May.
Compared to May, there was a noticeable increase in the number of companies that expect to work with increased capacity in June - 20 percent, which clearly shows that a recovery of industrial production can be expected.
The survey especially points out that the automobile industry, which has been severely affected by the coronavirus pandemic, has not completely stabilized. This applies in particular to the production of motor vehicles and trailers, as well as chassis, while work production has increased in manufacturing other parts and accessories for motor vehicles.
As for the situation in the construction industry, the survey, which covered major construction companies, shows that the expected percentage of realization of their plans in June was 98.6 percent.
521 companies from this sector of industry participated in the survey.
The latest survey results for June show that construction activity is recovering, and that normal flows will be established in the coming period, especially when it comes to contracts for new investment projects, according to the latest MAT bulletin.
