"Montenegro's decision to close border exclusively political, nothing to do with protecting health"

I am not in contact with anyone from the Montenegrin authorities and I do not know what I would talk about and how to talk to them - said the president of Serbia

Speaking about the closing of Montenegro's borders for Serbians, President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic said that it was pointless and shameful to talk about how they presented the epidemiological situation in our country.

"You are punishing those who speak honestly about the number of cases? It's best to test a hundred people so that we don't have any patients. We test several thousand people per day, not 30. We are proud to be detecting those infected" the president told TV Pink.

He stressed this is clearly about politics, and that he is not thrilled with it, but still respects it. He also said that he is not in contact with anyone from the Montenegrin authorities, and that he does not know what he would talk about and how to talk to them.

"It is clear that this has nothing to do with protecting health," said Vucic.

When it comes to Croatia closing its borders, Vucic said that he understands Croatia, stressing that the growth of Serbia cannot be compared to Croatia's.

He says that the situation is the same with Montenegro, and that Serbia, in relation to all of them, is making quick strides forward.
