Agreement signed: 8.3 million euros arriving for the Belgrade Metro

An agreement on the donation of 8.3 million euros for the Belgrade Metro has been signed.

The agreement was signed by the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Serbia and the Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure, Zorana Mihajlovic, together with Minister of European Integration Jadranka Joksimovic and Ambassador of France to Serbia Jean-Louis Falconi.

The donation agreement is related to the realization and financing of the Belgrade metro project between the government of the Republic of Serbia and the government of the Republic of France.

"This is proof of a plan that our companies are committed to realize. The metro is at the center of economic relations between the two countries," said Ambassador Falconi.

He stated that the metro (subway system) is essential for the development of Belgrade.

Otherwise, this is a grant and it will be spent towards the first phase of building the metro, that is, producing  study, and the impact on the environment.
