At today's press conference on the occasion of relaunching of Belgrade's public transport, it was said that 1,290 vehicles will be ready for passengers heading to and from work starting on May 8, while there will be another 100 vehicles on standby.

It was also said that a distance of at least one and a half meters will be provided in public transport vehicles, as well as that places are specially marked for sitting and standing, and that each vehicle presented today at the GSP (city transport company) facility has 13 seats and 12 standing places.

Representatives of the City Institute for Public Health, the Secretariat for Public Transport and the GSP Beograd company stressed that it will be necessary for passengers to wear masks and gloves, and for protective equipment to be properly applied - and that there will be those on board the vehicles who will check if these measures are being respected.

Drivers will also be required to wear masks and gloves, and optionally visors. Next, they will be given the authority to stop the bus if someone tries to break the new rules, and then the communal police will be called in to intervene.

Our video reporter got into a city transport vehicle and recorded what passengers will be able to see for themselves in a few days.

Sitting in not allowed in this place. The number of sitting places has been limited to prevent the circulation of Covid-19 - there is an inscription with stickers indicating the sitting places.

Passengers will only be allowed to enter a vehicle by the front door and drivers will be physically separated from their passengers.

Exit doors are also marked, while information about the rules to be followed in city transportation as well as health care tips are posted on windows.
