Janos and Klara argued in front of kids, he attacked her with machete. Son discovered horror scene
Klara's son took his own children outside the house so that he would not witness a fight between his mother and Janos. He did not even suspect that attempted murder and suicide would happen next in their home
Janos L., 64, used a machete about 7 pm yesterday to attack his common law wife, Klara T., in their home in the town of Becej - just as Klara' son removed his own children from the house so that she would not witness the altercation, Telegraf has learned.
The house in Neznanog Junaka Street in Becej, where attempted murder and suicide took place, was home to Klara, Janos, and Klara's son and his family.
According to our source, an argument broke out between Janos and Klara at one point yesterday, and as a result, her son took the children outside. Meanwhile, Janos is suspected of attacking his common law wife with a machete before taking his own life.
As we learn, the woman sustained head and left hand injuries and was found by her son when he reentered the house. He was also the one who called the police. He, as we learn, told the police what had preceded the horrific event.
Klara was taken to the Clinical Center of Vojvodina, where four of her fingers had to be amputated due to the injuries. As we learned, she has had surgery and her life is not in danger.
"Janos was found in a shed, lying face down. Next to him was the machete. He was already dead by then. An ambulance came to resuscitate him but failed and he passed away," says our source familiar with the case.
Janos L.'s body was taken for an autopsy.
