Parliament speaker tells MPs to either wear masks or leave: "You are endangering people's lives"
"Put the masks back on. You must use them or I will be forced to announce a break," said the Serbian National Assembly president
Assembly President Maja Gojkovic today called on people's deputies (MPs) from the DJB group, who showed up in the plenary hall without protective face masks, to either leave the session or to comply with Crisis HQ measures.
"Put the masks back on. You must use them or I will be forced to announce a break because the Crisis HQ measures are being violated. I will not continue the session because you are endangering the lives of us all. What kind of behavior is that for some deputies to be respecting the measures, while someone else sits in the hall without using a mask or gloves," Gojkovic said.
She asked who gave them greater rights and recalled that these were deputies who earlier wanted to know why Assembly sessions were not being held.
"You asked why we did not hold a session earlier, but you are the first not to care about any of us. You do what you want with your own life but not with the lives of colleagues, cameramen in the hall, of the workers," said Gojkovic.
The DJB deputies then left the session.
