Decision made: Stores can be open until 6 pm, green markets until 3 pm

In all retail outlets and outdoor markets, it is mandatory to use protective equipment

City Assembly Speaker Nikola Nikodijevic says that a decision on new opening hours of retail outlets and green markets in the city of Belgrade was adopted at today's session of the City Emergency HQ.

"Grocery stores will be able to organize their work so that they are open until 6 pm at the latest, while outdoor markets will be open from 7 am to 3 pm. In all retail premises and open air markets it is obligatory to use protective equipment and maintain social distance between buyers and sellers, as well as to take measures of daily disinfection of objects and work surfaces," said Nikodijevic.

He added that the activity of the public company "Gradska cistoca" to suppress mosquito larvae in open areas is continuing.

As it was said this morning, the supply chain is functioning well and there is food is in sufficient quantity as while items missing from the shelves are quickly replenished.
