Seven more deaths, 304 newly infected people in Serbia: Coronavirus update for April 18

In the last 24 hours, there have been seven new coronavirus-caused deaths in Serbia. Four men and three women have died as a result of the disease caused by the virus.

The death toll in this country now stands at 117, and the mortality rate is 1.95 percent. 80 of the deceased have been male, and 37 female persons.

This information was presented at Saturday's press conference held by Vojvodina provincial health secretary Zoran Gojkovic.

He also said that 637 people have been cured in Serbia so far. 126 Covid-19 patients are currently on venitilators.

Coronavirus was first confirmed in Serbia on Friday, March 6.

Over the last 24 hours, 304 new cases have been confirmed, bringing the total to 5,994, Gojkovic said.

In the same 24 hour period, samples taken from 3,462 people have been tested. So far, a total of 36,028 people have been tested in Serbia.
