11,000 people had originally been fired - however, from March 29 to April 3, 8,999 were given their jobs back, as a result of the announcement of economic measures, said Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic.

As he said, that means that about 2,000 people are currently out of work in this wave. Vucic thanked employers for protecting workers.

"The start of the implementation of the measures will mean that we will be in perfect balance, which is almost unbelievable," he said.

He recalled IMF's forecast that Serbia will be more successful than other countries in the region, and even Europe, in overcoming the crisis.

President of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic and Prime Minister of the Republic of Serbia Ana Brnabic met today with Serb Member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Milorad Dodik.

The focus of the meeting were ways to jointly fight coronavirus and prevent the spread of the epidemic.
