In Serbia, coronavirus has been confirmed in 4,465 pople from March 6 to the present day, and among them, according to the latest statistics published on the site covid19.rs, most are between the ages of 50 and 59 - 993, and then between the ages of 40 and 49 - 927. This new scourge, with which Serbia and the rest of the world are fighting, has been confirmed in as many as 116 children under 9, which is 2.59 percent of the total number of cases.

Half this number concerns children and teenagers aged 10 to 19. In this group COVID-19 is registered in 56 people.

In the next age group, from 20 to 29, has 368 people who tested positive for coronavirus, while 674 are in the 30 to 39 age group.

Among the population between 60 and 69 years old, 686 persons have contracted coronavirus, along with 392 cases in the 70 to 79 age group.

There are 220 senior citizens aged 80 to 89 years with confirmed coronavirus infection, and 39 more who are 90 years and older.

The children suffering from the virus are being treated atn the Clinical-Hospital Center "Dr Dragisa Misovic" in Belgrade, and according to the latest morning information, there are 33 of them there.

Coronavirus has claimed 94 lives in Serbia since March 20, when the first victim was registered.

A majority of cases are still reported in Belgrade - 1,495, then in Nis - 536, and in Cuprija, 180. In Novi Sad, 169 people have been infected, and 84 in Krusevac.
