State Secretary in the Ministry of Finance and one of Sinisa Mali's closest associates, Jelena Tanaskovic, has been infected with coronavirus.

According to what Telegraf has learned, after the introduction of a state of emergency and on the basis of instructions issued by the Government of Serbia, she was sent to work from home, as had  been most government employees.

“Since she got infected, she was not in direct contact with anyone in the ministry, because she was doing her work from home," Telegraf learned.

Otherwise, this is the fifth case of coronavirus is the Serbian government. Yesterday it was announced that counselor at the Ministry of Education, Aleksandar Pajic, amd two others, had been infected. The first case was State Secretary at the Ministry of Ecology, Branislav Blazic, who died on April 1 at the Clinic of Infectious Diseases.

Other employees of that ministry who have been in contact with the Secretary of State have been put in isolation. Minister Goran Trivan, however, was not in isolation because, as he himself admitted, he did not see his associates, but only contacted them by phone.
