At today's session, the government of the Republic of Serbia adopted the decision to increase by ten percent the salaries of all healthcare workers in the Republic of Serbia, starting on April 1 this year.

The wage increase applies to all employees in healthcare and military healthcare institutions, those working in health protection jobs, institutions of social protection, as well as doctors working in prisons.

This decision was made bearing in mind that healthcare professionals bear a heavy burden and responsibility as the Republic of Serbia fights the COVID-19 disease.

The government of the Republic of Serbia will continue to closely monitor the development of the COVID-19 situation and urges all citizens to adhere to the adopted measures, without exception, the government said.
