Legendary maestro Zubin Mehta, a great friend of the Belgrade Philharmonic and Serbia, has sent a video message of support that was posted on this institution's Facebook profile.

"Ivan Tasovac, good afternoon, how are you? I send you and all my colleagues of the Belgrade Philharmonic my sincerest and warmest greetings. I hope with all my heart that this difficult time will pass soon and that we will make music together again, as always," said the famous maestro.

During his latest visit here the conductor expressed his desire to mark the 60th anniversary of his first appearance with the Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra, and the date of that gala concert will soon be known.

Mehta has led the Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra eight times, most recently as a special guest of the first outdoor concert in 2017. As a great friend of the Philharmonic, Zubin Mehta is always ready to support the orchestra he first performed with at the beginning of his career, and with which he has intensified ties in the new millennium.

One of the greatest conductors of our time gladly returns to Belgrade, building a friendship that has long since gone far beyond music and art.
