The man who has died in Sabac is the first coronavirus case in this Serbian town since the outbreak of the epidemic.

The 62-year-old man from Sabac is also the eighth overall victim of the virus in Serbia.

As we have learned, he had not returned from abroad, and had contacted his doctor with respiratory problems that did not indicate the definition of (coronavirus) case four days ago (March 23).

His condition deteriorated due to which he was hospitalized two days later at the Sabac hospital, where he died at the infectious diseases ward during the night (of March 25).

The test result, which confirmed he had been infected with coronavirus, arrived last night, i.e., overnight.

The Sabac Institute of Public Health announced that the deceased man was suffering from diabetes, obesity and hypertension.
