Montenegrin Navy Commander Vesko Tomanovic resigned yesterday after the police filed a criminal complaint against him and took him into quarantine for failing to comply with self-isolation regulations, that are a part of measures to stop the spread of coronavirus.

He informed the Chief of the General Staff of the Army of Montenegro Dragutin Dakic about this, the daily Vijesti has learned unofficially from the Montenegrin Army.

Vijesti reported on Tuesday that Minister Predrag Boskovic had intended to initiate the dismissal of the Navy commander.

This was confirmed unofficially by the Ministry of Defense, after a photo appeared on social media showing Tomanovic shopping in a Bar store - although he was among those who had to stay self-isolated to prevent the spread of coronavirus.
