"Out of the total number of those infected, at least half are in Belgrade," Kisic-Tepavcevic said

During a regular press conference held daily to inform the public about the situation regarding the coronavirus epidemic in Serbia, Dr. Darija Kisic-Tepavcevic said that at least one case has so far been confirmed in a total of 21 towns across our country.

"Out of the total number of those infected, at least half are in Belgrade, considering that it is also the largest city in Serbia, so there have been 158 confirmed cases in the capital," said Kisic-Tepavcevic.

After Belgrade, the towns of Nis and Valjevo follow with 40 and 38 patients suffering from coronavirus-induced illness.

There have been 21 cases registered in Novi Sad, 13 in Cacak, 12 in Kragujevac and 10 in Krusevac and Cuprija each.

Elsewhere - in Kikinda, Vranje, Uzice, Pozarevac, Zajecar and Pancevo - the doctor said, the number of infected people ha been in the single-digits.

So far, one case has been registered in Vrnacka Banja, Temerin, Sombor, Leskovac, and Backa Topola, each.
