A total of 249 confirmed COVID-19 cases were registered in the Republic of Serbia by 3 pm on March 23, 2020.

According to preliminary data published at 6 pm the previous day, there were 222 confirmed cases in the country. 97 people were hospitalized, 14 of which were on a ventilator.
On Friday, March 20, the first COVID-19 death was recorded in Serbia. It was a 59-year-old man from Kikinda who died at the Clinical Center of Vojvodina.
On Sunday, according to Health Minister Zlatibor Loncar, a 92-year-old woman died at the Clinic for Infectious Diseases in Belgrade.
