Border police take money to let people from infected areas enter the country: Bosnia scandal
The Border Police director condemned the actions of police officers
Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) Border Police Director Zoran Galic condemned the unlawful actions of some members of this police agency as the country faces major challenges from coronavirus and the migrant crisis, and said any form of unprofessional behavior would be sanctioned.
Reacting to the arrest of a police officer who took money and allowed three persons from an infected area to enter BiH, Galic stressed that he was appalled by the actions of individuals who embarrass this police agency, which is facing huge challenges.
"It is disgraceful and devastating, especially in these moments, to have irresponsible and unprofessional individuals who knowingly make catastrophic errors," Galic said, RTRS reported.
The border police, he said, must set an example for responsible and conscientious behavior in these situations.
