Main symptoms that indicate you may be infected with coronavirus
It is very difficult to distinguish between the new virus and the flu
With the arrival of coronavirus to Serbia, it is very important to know the main symptoms of the disease.
So far, many doctors have confirmed that it is very difficult to distinguish between coronavirus and seasonal flu because the symptoms are almost the same.
Coronavirus causes respiratory problems, fever, coughing and shortness of breath
The main difference between coronavirus and the flu is that coronavirus develops gradually while the flu develops suddenly.
"Most viruses today are flu-like, Americans call them that way, flu-like diseases. It's all the same, and this coronavirus has the same symptoms," Dr. Branimir Nestorovic told Telegraf.rs recently, adding that it is impossible to distinguish the flu from the common cold unless a test is done.
As doctors have explained many times so far, coronavirus starts with a fever, followed by a dry cough, after which a sense of loss of breath can occur, at which point most patients report to their doctors.
One woman in China who has been cured pointed out that her body temperature was constantly varying.
The virus is transmitted from a distance of two meters, so how do we know if someone in our vicinity is infected with coronavirus?
The first signs of infection include respiratory symptoms - fever, cough, shortness of breath and difficulty breathing, along with a general feeling of malaise.
Coronavirus can also sometimes lead to respiratory diseases such as pneumonia or bronchitis.
Some other symptoms of the virus are:
- headaches
- sneezing and coughing
- difficulty breathing
- high blood pressure
Recent research has found that coronavirus can affect blood pressure, which is especially risky for people who already have a problem with high blood pressure.
The signs of the disease develop between two days and two weeks, while the virus can survive for up to 9 days on surfaces such as metal, plastic or glass.
The victims of the coronavirus are mostly elderly people who already had some health problems. These include patients with heart disease, diabetics and people with high blood pressure.
If you have any of these symptoms, your doctor will evaluate whether further tests are needed.
