Shocking Kopaonik video: Snow tumbles down from garage roof, people get trapped, child screams

The comments left on the video are full of outrage

A video posted on Twitter today shows a dramatic scene of snow thawing and falling from the roof of a building in less than ten seconds, which is how long the clip lasts. What is not seen in the video is that this "avalanche" trapped a mother and her two-year-old son.

"I walked into the garage to get the car, just two seconds later something like heavy thunder was heard, and snow and ice fell from the roof. My son who is only two years old was with me. The pieces of ice that fell off the roof were twice his size."

"I can't imagine what would have happened if they fell onto him. He started screaming, we couldn't get out of the garage for more than half an hour. My son experienced so much stress that he started to stutter," a 33-year-old woman who had this unpleasant experience told Telegraf.rs.

In comments left under the video, some expressed fears that there might have been casualties. Still, there were many more who were angry about parking fees.

"Someone could have been hurt. But, by some miracle, they didn't charge for parking yesterday," says one of the comments that went into both topics.

From the comments it became apparent that parking is charged around RSD 2,000 for one day.

The Supernova travel agency, which organizes arrangements for Konak Kopaonik located across from the garage, told us that the garage is not owned by them.
