The 2021 Boxing World Championship will be held in Belgrade, it was decided today at a meeting of the Executive Board of the International Boxing Association (AIBA).
During a summit in Budapest, Belgrade received unanimous support and will once again organize the world's largest boxing event.

Previously, the Serbian capital hosted the world's best boxers in 1978. On that occasion, Yugoslav boxers set a national record in the number of medals they won: six silvers and one bronze.
Tadija and Slobodan Kacar won medals at the time, along with Dragomir Dujkovic, Memet Bogujevci, Miodrag Perunovic, Bratislav Ristic and Fazlija Sacirovic.
