Milan died in France, with his body stranded in a morgue for 2 months; the story gets even sadder
Authorities in France would bury the body, but a relative of Milan's must sign and approve that
Milan, a Serbian who resided in France, passed away two months ago and his body is still in the morgue. As the unfortunate man has no immediate family, his body remains "trapped." The association "All Serbs in Paris" is looking for a way to help.
Milan has only relatives in Serbia.
"A funeral parlor asked 3,600 euros for the cost of transporting the body and all administrative formalities, which they can't pay. Authorities in France would bury the body, but a relative of Milan's must sign and approve that. Since they do not have the means to come to Paris, Milan is still lying in the morgue," a friend of the deceased told the association.
Those who think they can help in some way can contact this association (ssup.fr), who will refer them to Milan's friend.
"There were people who wanted to help financially, but the problem is the takeover of the body. We are trying to find a way to take the body over from the morgue," the association told Telegraf.
