Brnabic with Auschwitz survivor: Photo from commemoration of 75 years since liberation of the camp

Poland today marks the 75th anniversary of the liberation of the Nazi Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp, and the ceremony is attended by Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic.

Prime minister arrives in Poland for the marking of the anniversary

Brnabic arrived in Poland together with 98-year-old Borbala Igumanovic, who survived the horrors of Auschwitz and will be one of 200 survivors attending today's ceremony, the government said.

The ceremony is addressed by Auschwitz camp survivors, as well as Polish President Andrzej Duda and Auschwitz Memorial Museum Director Piotr Cywinski.

A great number of world officials are in attendance - Israeli President Ruven Rivlin, Slovak President Zuzana Caputova, Austrian President Alexander van der Bellen, German President Frank Walter Steinmeier, Slovenian President Borut Pahor, Belgian Prime Minister Sophie Wilmes, Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borisov, Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic and Czech Prime Minister Andrej Babis.

Also attending the ceremony are French Prime Minister Edouard Philippe, Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, Luxembourg Prime Minister Xavier Bettel, Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte, Norwegian Prime Minister Erna Solberg, US Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin and other officials.

Prime Minister Brnabic was greeted in Poland by Ambassador of Serbia Nikola Zurovac and Equality Protection Commissioner Brankica Jankovic.
