Belgrade: Bullets rain on Joksovic's company; somebody fires 10 rounds and disappears into the fog
The police are carrying out a detailed investigation into who and why fired multiple shots from an automatic rifle
More than 20 bullets were fired overnight from an automatic rifle at the business premises of a company that sells equipment and spare parts for cars in Vodovodska Street in Belgrade's Cukarica municipality.
A security worker reported damage to the facade and a window to the police. Nobody was injuried.
Several shell casings were found at the scene along with 20 bullet holes in the window. The building damaged in the shooting during the night is owned by Nebojsa Joksovic, who had leased the premises to another person.
The building has video surveillance, while the night watchman said that he heard some noise at about 4 am but did not see anything due to the fog.
The police are carrying out a detailed investigation into who and why fired multiple shots from an automatic rifle at the building in Vodovodska Street.
The possibility that Joksovic organized the attack himself in order to secure better police protection is also being checked. Joksovic is a cooperating witness in the case against Darko Saric.
Otherwise, nine years ago, a print shop owned by Joksovic, located in the immediate vicinity, was hit by a Zolja rocket propelled anti-tank grenade.
Joksovic has several previous criminal complaints filed against him.
