Identity of policeman Lekovic's killer revealed: Arrested brothers, their mother aren't from Kosovo
Those under arrest first claimed to be from Kosovo
The killer of Montenegrin police officer Milutin Lekovic is an Albanian citizen, Luan Hasanaj, 43. He was with his brother Lulzim (49) and their mother Nure Hasanaj during the arrest, Montenegrin media are reporting.
The three arrested persons previously told the police they came from Kosovo.
The killer of the border police officer is being sought by the Albanian judicial authorities for murder, attempted murder and unlawful possession of weapons.
His brother Lulzim is also wanted for murder and attempted conspiracy, while the 67-year-old woman is wanted in Albania for making threats.
The Montenegrin police have announced that those arrested will be brought to the State Prosecutor at the Higher State Prosecutor's Office in Podgorica.
Officer Lekovic succumbed to the injuries he sustained when he was shot in the back of the head.
