Strong earthquake hits Crete, the Balkans is restless again

A 4.6-magnitude earthquake hit the Greek island of Crete this morning.

The earthquake was at a depth of 10 kilometers, according to the European Mediterranean Seismological Center.

Another, 2.9 magnitude earthquake was registered last night with the epicenter near Stolac, the Serb Republic's Hydrometeorological Service announced.

The service's network of seismological stations located the earthquake as taking place at 00.47 am with an estimated intensity in the epicenter zone of four degrees on the Mercalli scale.

The service said than an earthquake of this intensity cannot cause damage to structures, while the population in the epicentral zone can feel it.
