Czech football ultras attacked supporters of so-called Kosovo before a EURO 2020 qualifier game; the Czech police had a lot of work to do before and after the match.

Police officers had to provide security for the guests at all times to prevent incidents, while many fans coming from our southern province claimed to have been attacked while they were eating.

"I live in Graz, Austria, otherwise I am from Gjilane. We were eating bread and then we were attacked by masked people. This is not a sporting atmosphere, it has nothing to do with sports," one of them said after the incidnts, specifying that 25 people attacked a group of 15 fans.

"We weren't provoking anyone, the attack was completely unexpected. We came because of sports, we had no desire to provoke anyone. We are mostly students, I am a father of two, if possible, I will take them to a game, if not, we will see. The police at least reacted," another fan said.

There were also arrests of those who caused trouble, but the Pristina media are complaining that over 200 Albanians could not enter the stadium, although everyone had tickets - they were asked for Czech documents.

Before the match, a group of fans came in front of the hotel where the Kosovo team was located, thunderously chanting, "Kosovo is Serbia" - followed by attacks against supporters. One of them even made a statement afterwards showing that he suffered head injury.
