North Macedonia's Prime Minister, Zoran Zaev, has resigned, Italian ANSA agency is reproting, citing European diplomatic sources.
Sputnik said it leared unofficially that Zaev has informed foreign embassies of his intention to resign.

Consultations between parliamentary parties in Macedonia are currently underway. Zaev is seeking early elections because he has not fulfilled his campaign promise to open negotiations with the European Union.
At the EU summit, member states failed to reach an agreement on launching accession talks with North Macedonia and Albania.
