On this day, October 9, 1991, a team of RTS Sabac employees was killed in Banija, Croatia. There has been no answer as to who killed them and who ordered them to become the target. Reporting from the Banija battlefield was their professional task, and the news that arrived on October 9, 1991 shook the whole of Sabac, a town in Western Serbia, and Serbia's public.

No one has been held responsible for this crime while the details of the murder have never been determined. It is an irreparable loss for the four families, and many questions remain unanswered.
Even after 28 years, the death of the exemplary Sabac journalists represent a pledge of the profession - not to forget.
In memory of the colleagues who were and remained role models in the profession and were simply doing their job in a time of war, a monument has been placed in front of the media building "Glas Podrinja" - donated to Sabac by Slobodan Pavlovic, who also funded the building of the Pavlovic Bridge.
