Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic today signed at the French Embassy the Condolence Book opened over the death of former French President Jacques Chirac.

Vucic wrote in the Condolence Book:

"I extend my deepest condolences to the friendly French people on the death of a great of world politics and former President of France Jacques Chirac.

The Serb and the French people have been forging their friendship for centuries. At the beginning of the 21st century, our bonds of respect and closeness were strongly renewed, which is why we will especially remember Jacques Chirac's 2001 visit to Belgrade, as well as his message of support for Serbia to become a permanent part of the family of European nations."
