Weather forecast changed: Heatwave to grip Serbia for a week longer than expected

Temperatures will range from 30 and 35 degrees centigrade

Although the RHMZ previously announced that high temperatures in Serbia would continue until August 25, a new warning has extended the heatwave period by seven days.

By the end of the month temperatures will be reaching daily highs of 35 degrees centigrade, the Republic Hydrometeorological Service (RHMZ) said.

Thursday will be sunny and slightly more pleasant in Serbia, but still warm. In the afternoon and evening, thunderstorms and local showers are expected in the hills and mountains.

On Friday and during the weekend local thunderstorms are expected in the afternoon and in the evening in some other areas as well.

Maximum temperatures will range from 30 to 33 degrees on Thursday and on Friday, while they will rise from 30 to 35 degrees on the weekend.
