Woman from northern Serbia tries to hire hitman to kill her husband

The prosecution ordered her to be held in custody for 48 hours

The police have arrested Tatjana B. from Senta in northern Serbia on suspicion of inciting a man to kill her husband - between May and the time of her arrest.

Her plan was to leave the house door unlocked and suggested to the would-be killer to go inside the house at night and kill her husband in the bedroom, beat her up, and in the end fake a ransacking of their home.

She offered the potential killer 1,600 euros and has so far given him 1,000. She was arrested during a handover of another 80 euros to the potential killer, for the purpose of hiring a helper.

After her arrest, Tatjana B. was questioned and ordered to be held in custody for 48 hours.

The investigation is ongoing.
