Drunk driver kills young man helping another driver change tire (PHOTOS)

As a result of the force of impact, the young man died on the spot

20-year-old S.K. from Niska Banja died this morning at 3:45 a.m. in Srpskih Junaka Street, at the entrance to Niska Banja, when he was hit by a BMW with Nis license plates driven by 27-year-old D.M.

Telegraf.rs has learned that the unfortunate young man was killed while helping another driver change a tire.

"S.К. was passing by with a friend when he saw a Zastava 101 car that had stopped because one of its tires had burst. He offered to help the driver, took the tire and approached the wheel to be hit at that moment by the BMW. As a result of the force of impact, the young man died on the spot," the people with knowledge of this case told us.

The driver of the BMW sustained head injuries and was taken to a hospital in Nis. As we learned, he was found to have caused the accident while under the influence of alcohol.

The police in Nis confirmed that an accident took place during which one person was killed, and that the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office was informed.
