Mother and twin daughters from Serbia found dead in an apartment in Vienna: Neighbours described what they heard behind closed doors
The neighbors said that Vesna M. was mentally ill. They say that no one ever came to visit the family
Police found a dead woman and two teenage girls in an apartment in Vienna, writes OE24. Vesna M. (45), originating from Serbia, and her twins (18) lived in the apartment.
The firefighters and police had to break in when a worried friend called them.
The twins were allegedly persons with a disability, and they were discovered dead on the couch. Although there are no signs of violent death, the police are still investigating the case, writes OE24.
The mother Vesna escaped several times from a violent husband to the Safe House. Later on, they parted, the husband left, and Vesna remained alone with the children.
The care for twins was too much for her. The neighbor called the Social welfare center in 2017, they determined everything was alright.
The neighbors said that Vesna M. was mentally ill. They say that no one ever came to visit the family.
They rarely saw the mother and the twins but they often heard shouting from the apartment. The cause of death is still being investigated, but it is possible that Vesna poisoned herself and daughters with pills.
It is possible that Vesna fell down and that the twins starved to death.
