Pristina taxes are meaningless and provocative: The latest message from Washington
Kosovo behaves stubbornly, but without a good effect
Professor of Washington Johns Hopkins University, Daniel Server, believes there will be no correction of the borders or the exchange of territories within the final agreement between Pristina and Belgrade, and when it comes to introducing taxes to products from central Serbia, he says it is "meaningless and provocative".
- Kosovo is acting stubbornly but without a good effect. I understand the impulse to use sovereign power, and I actually appreciate it, but not if the results are negative - said Server in an interview for Pristina Bota Sot.
He added that there is no need for Pristina to rush to reach an agreement with Belgrade.
The server said that, although dialogue should end with mutual recognition and membership of Kosovo in the UN, "that day may still be years away."
