29 people died from flu in Serbia so far: More than 104.000 people sick, most of them are children up to 4 years of age

29 people have died in Serbia due to flu, and 104.687 cases of sick people were registered in the last six weeks, announced by the Institute for public health "Dr. Milan Jovanovic Batut".
As it is stated, the most of the sick are among children up to 4 years of age, and the epidemiological situation is in line with the trends of the disease for this period of the year.
- A total of 104,687 people with flu-like illnesses and 29 fatal cases have been reported with the sixth weekly report, and it was confirmed in the laboratory - announced by "Batut".
During the sixth reporting week, 19,718 cases of influenza-related illnesses were recorded.
These are influenza A (H1N1) and A (H3N2) flu viruses that are in circulation this season in our country, as well as in countries in the region and most of Europe.
Influenza epidemics have been reported in the territory of Pirot, Zlatibor, Moravski region, and Nis.
