The US and the EU can force Pristina to withdraw its decision

They harm the economies of both Serbia and other countries. others are being dragged into this now and that shows the irrationality of such decision - Stefanovic said

The Interior Minister of Serbia Nebojsa Stefanovic marked today that great forces like USA and EU can pressure Pristina to revoke the decision to tax the goods from Central Serbia.

A reaction of EU on Pristina taxes: Government of Kosovo must immediately revoke taxing goods

Stefanovic said that to the TV television after the messages that arrived from Washington and Brussels that the decision of Pristina Government must be revoked, he expects to see some action, without remaining as a dead letter on the paper.

- No one can convince me that USA and EU cannot force the withdrawal of that decision. If there are desires of great forces for that the decision will be revoked - Stefanovic said.

He said that Serbia expects from "serious players" to try to solve the problem which appeared and he reminded that Pristina is violating the International Agreement CEFTA and asks how will EU explain that they allow Pristina to break that agreement, and it is expected from all others to respect it.

- You now have the action of Pristina institutions which is based on breaking the international law. They are breaking the CEFTA agreement - the minister stressed and added that the move of Pristina is a pressure on Serbs living in Kosovo and Metohija and who use goods from Central Serbia, but also a kind of economic pressure on everybody.

He notes that the decision of the authorities in Pristina is detrimental to private business in Serbia, as well as to foreigners who own factories in Serbia and place goods in Kosovo.

Serbia will, as he said, continue to be responsible, to respect international law and to draw moves which won't lead to conflicts on Kosovo and Metohija.

- Investments, opening of new factories in Serbia, if there are peace and stability. If there is no stability no one will come to this country, not even as a tourist, let alone to invest money - the minister stated.

When asked is it possible and when will be the dialogue with Pristina continued, he said that it is a difficult question.

- President (Aleksandar Vucic) said that it is difficult to imagine sitting down with some of them by the table. There are no fundamental differences between politicians in Pristina - Stefanovic concluded.
