Cry of little Nadja's mother was supported by thousands of people, but only one person joined her in protest - her friend
Dragana thinks her next step will be far more extreme
Dragana Petrovic from Kragujevac, whose little daughter Nadja died on April 4th, 2018 due to measles because she was not allowed to get MMR vaccine due to autoimmune sickness, protested yesterday over the statement of the director of Clinical Center, Dr. Predrag Sazdanovic, who said that there were no ommissions in the treatment of the girl.
Although thousands of people supported Dragana on social networks, only one person showed up on the protest, her friend. She stood in front of the CC Kragujevac to draw the attention of the public that, according to her, Nadja didn't receive adequate treatment and that she was placed in the room with a child which was sick with measles.
Dragana Petrovic is asking for justice for her child, but she is fighting for all patients to have equal treatment.
She has lifted some dust in the public with her post about the treatment of the singer Darko Lazic, with which she wanted to draw attention to all of those who need doctor's help.
In her first post on Facebook, the mother who lost her child, expressed anger due to the way that Lazic is being treated and he doesn't have health insurance, and according to her, he has a lot better conditions than those of her daughter Nadja. She was first placed in the same room with a child with measles, and she wasn't allowed to get a vaccine, then when her condition worsened, the mother was only allowed to see her twice during the day, even in the days when it was certain that little Nadja won't be able to survive.
The shocking message of a mother who will never again hug her baby, see her eyes, smile, feel her touch, opened a question in Serbia, what is the value of life and do all patients have the same treatment by doctors?
Although no one appeared on the protest, she thinks that her next step will be even more extreme and that she will start a hunger strike.
