The Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina has accepted a proposal for the legalization of gay marriage
The authorities of Bosnia and Herzegovina have pointed out that they only follow the example of the European Union
At today's session, the Government of Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) accepted the request for the legalization of same-sex marriages.
- The topic was on the agenda and it was adopted in the form it was proposed - confirmed by Fadil Novalic, the FBiH Prime Minister.
He said that the FBiH is following the path of the European Union.
- We are on the road to the EU. Everything that we come across on the road we will interpret as a need - said Novalic.
On the proposal of the Federal Ministry of Justice, the Federal Government will appoint an interdepartmental working group to analyze the rules under which same-sex couples from the community of communities can exercise the rights deriving from the European Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms, and they will propose regulations that need to be made in the area Federation of BiH.
