Sergey Lavrov sends a message to Milorad Dodik: Moscow is ready to support Republika Srpska over the status

Moscow is prepared to support Republika Srpska to open the question of independence, especially in the context of the negotiations on the final solution for Kosovo and Metohija, which will be intensified in September, "Vecernje Novosti" writes.

According to this newspaper, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov should give this message to the president of RS Milorad Dodik, who will visit Sarajevo and Banja Luka on September 16th and 17th.

As "Novosti" writes, Moscow has already sent a signal through unofficial channels to Belgrade and Banja Luka that they noted Dodik's strong attitude if Pristina gets a seat in the United Nations, or if answer regarding Kosovo and Metohija implies any similar arrangements, Republika Srpska will going to take the road of independence.

The newspaper mentions that Lavrov's arrival to Banja Luka will coincide with the talks that will e held by the president Aleksandar Vucic with Russian president Vladimir Putin on September 17th.

Resolving the Kosovo issue will be a central topic in the Kremlin, which closely monitors the content of the Belgrade-Pristina talks, especially the impact of the international factors on the issue, Novosti reports.
