A new arrest of Serbs in Spain: They stole electricity to grow marijuana, and then they packed it for smuggling
In addition to the drug, 162 lamps, 163 transformers, 23 filters, several air conditioners, and planting material were seized
Spanish police arrested four Serbs in Tarragona for producing and selling marijuana and seized 908 plants and 36 kilograms of dried plants.
Serbian men aged between 28 and 46 were arrested. Police were searching for them since the beginning of 2017 when they received first information about the existence of marijuana plantations hidden in two houses in this part of Spain.
During the investigation, police officers noticed a group of men who had a highly organized plantation with a high degree of safety. The rooms where marijuana is grown are fully isolated and protected so that the police cannot find them by heat detection.
In addition to the drug, 162 lamps, 163 transformers, 23 filters, several air conditioners, and planting material were seized. The police found out that all of these devices were connected to the electricity that was stolen.
Everything points out that the arrested were in the production and packaging of drugs business, including distribution outside the borders of Spain. The police do not exclude the possibility of new arrests.
