The Pristina delegation arrived in an unexpectedly expanded composition, while the representatives of Belgrade will be president Vucic and the chief of Kosovo and Metohija office Marko Djuric
Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic arrived in Brussels last night where he will meet Kosovo president Hashim Thaci, in a new round of Belgrade-Pristina negotiations, and the host of the meeting will be the chief of EU diplomacy, Federica Mogherini.
Kosovo police released five Serbs who were arrested this morning
Ramush Haradinaj will be in Pristina Delegation for the first time besides the Kosovo president Hashim Thaci. Besides them, there will be the president of the assembly, Kadri Veseli, the chief of diplomacy Behgjet Pacolli, and the deputies of the prime minister, Fatmir Limaj and Dardan Gashi.
Belgrade in Brussels will be represented by president Vucic and the chief of Kosovo and Metohija office Marko Djuric.
The first meeting should have started at 9 AM, it was confirmed to Tanjug in Brussels.
According to European Commission spokeswoman Maja Kocijancic, today's round starts with separate meetings of Federica Mogherini with both delegations, followed by a trilateral meeting.
Also, she said that there is a possibility of talks in different formats, without the presence of Mogherini.
Mogherini announced that Wednesday's meeting will "look at the progress made so far in talks on a comprehensive agreement on normalization and plan next steps and meetings to ensure that work between both sides continues at an intense pace."
At the end of the previous round of talks, held in Brussels on June 24, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said that the Serbian side is in search of a compromise solution and is "struggling to get something, not nothing" and stressed that an important agreement was reached to resolve all problems in peace.
In the meantime, there has been an arrest of five Serbs on Kosovo and Metohija. It was suspected that they were threatening the members of Kosovo Security forces to leave this formation.
After the intervention of the officials from Belgrade and the announcement of the possible cancelation of dialogue because of that incident, the arrested were released on the same day.
