Croatian delegation suspends the visit to Serbia because of the politician Seselj

Ambassador Mira Nikolic refused to receive the note, expressing the strongest protest for this event, so the document was subsequently forwarded to the Serbian Embassy.

The Croatian agency recalls that Seselj, at the entrance to the parliament in Belgrade, together with another radical advocate, "defiled the Croatian state flag", and after that h,e insulted a Croatian Parliament delegation, which then interrupted an official visit to Serbia.

The Croatian Ministry believes that Seljelj dared to do so "apparently encouraged by the lack of sanctions for the previous incidents of burning the Croatian flag, as well as the failure of the reaction of the most responsible Serbian officials to his threats of repeating of war crimes."

- The Republic of Croatia is demanding and expecting the Serbian authorities to show zero tolerance for such unacceptable incidents and to urgently take appropriate measures - the statement said.

It is added that Croatia remains committed to strengthening good neighborly cooperation on the principles of mutual respect and in line with European values.
