The monograph "The conquest of the world" will be published within the celebration of the unique anniversary
Air Serbia, the national airline of the Republic of Serbia, celebrates 90 years since its first flight this week.
Originally founded under the name "Aeroput", the national airline of the Republic of Serbia performed its first flight on February 15, 1928, between Belgrade and Zagreb.
On that day, the two-wing plane"Potez 29", called "Belgrade" flew from the capital towards Croatia at 09:00 in the morning. The plane contained five journalists and photographers whose task was to document this historical event.
After a two-hour flight and several circles over Zagreb, the aircraft's wheels touched the ground. The Zagreb people offered a warm welcome before the plane flew back towards Belgrade in the afternoon hours.
Duncan Naysmith, General Manager of Air Serbia, said: "We are very proud to celebrate 90 years since our first flight. Only a few airlines in the world can boast of this anniversary."
- Our business has undergone many changes since this first historic flight. Nevertheless, what is the constant is our readiness to adapt, grow and strive for innovation. In the spirit of our aforementioned readiness, "Air Serbia" has recently started implementing a new tariff concept that is a milestone in business and the way our guests can personalize and adapt their travel to their own needs.
At the end of January 2018, Air Serbia presented a new tariff system of four tariffs - Economy White, Economy Blue, Economy Red and Business Silver. Each of these tariffs is characterized by different characteristics, and guests of Air Serbia have the opportunity to adapt their travel and service to their own needs by purchasing various additional services, such as "Priority boarding" or "Using a fast lane at the airport".
As part of marking 90 years since its first flight, Air Serbia will publish a limited edition monograph titled "The World's Conquest" in early March.
A detailed and striking overview of the first 90 years of the development of a national aviation company and civil aviation in Serbia will be reinforced by the unpublished historical photographs that will adorn the pages of this unique monograph.
