Johnny Depp in the Serbian film about NATO bombing in 1999?

The movie will include suffering: of those who were stopped by the bombs, and of those who are slowly dying and who will die from the delayed effect of the projectile with the carcinogenic depleted uranium

The filming of the documentary about the consequences of bombing 1999 will start at the beginning of March on more than 100 locations in Serbia with Kosovo and Metohija, Montenegro, the Republic of Srpska, and throughout the Balkans, or where the particles of depleted uranium and chemical pollution could arrive.

The film will be translated into eight languages, and it is negotiated with Nikita Mikhalkov and Johnny Depp to appear in the film. After the premiere in Serbia, on the 20th anniversary of the aggression, on March 24, 2019, it is planned to be screened all over the world, even in the countries of the NATO alliance.

It will not be a classic documentary with facts and witnesses of 78 days of aggression, but a story with more layers. The movie will include suffering: of those who were stopped by the bombs, and of those who are slowly dying and who will die from the delayed effect of the projectile with the carcinogenic depleted uranium, or the spillage of pyralene into our ground and water.

- I want the world to see through this movie who they bombed, that we are not the "bad guys", nor "savage people" on Balkans, but the people of old cultures who gave to the world Tesla, Pupin, Milutin Milankovic - explains the producer of the movie, Nemanja Nedeljkovic.

The film will present evidence of ecological catastrophe, not only in Serbia but also in the entire Balkans, including experts from some of the world's most famous scientific institutions.

One of the aims of the movie is to strip the former aggressors' propaganda, even with the delay of two decades, and to break the image of Serbia as a savage people, in the light of the explanations that were given to the world at the time that killing of children can be listed as collateral damage.

- So far there are arguments and reasonable doubts why the consequences of the radiation should be examined, which are primarily reflected in the increased number of patients with malignant diseases, leukemia, sterility, autoimmune diseases for which there is no other explanation other than a major incident such as NATO aggression. Mortality from leukemia has increased by 139%, the number of ill children with malignant diseases is double than the average in Europe - says professor Nada Grujucic.
