Croat died while he was hunting for lions in South Africa: Police suspects of a murder, investigation was launched

Caterer (75) from Pag in Croatia, died in South Africa when he left hunting for lions with two of his friends. When they shot one king of the jungle, they went searching for another one, when a bullet shot him, and he quickly died.

Although emergency helicopter arrived in just a few minutes, the man who was transported to the local hospital couldn't be saved, as stated by the South African police.

The man from Pag, according to the unofficial information of "24sata.hr" was hunting in the South African reservation with two friends. The police, however, opened an investigation since there is a suspicion that it was a murder and not an accident. Besides, they also search for illegal weapons and ammo.

The owner of the reservation for lion hunting said that he didn't hear anything since he was caring about one of the animals.

Although the hunt for lions is allowed in the reservations, there is a lot of controversy around it. Namely, hunting societies of the world complained about this way of "industrial" hunting. The lions are specially cultivated and literally served to the hunters.
