A new earthquake struck Montenegro, Podgorica was shaken again!
As reported by the Seismological Institute, the earthquake could not cause material damage in the epicentral area
The Seismological Institute registered at 9:02 an earthquake with an epicenter at 6 km southeast of Podgorica in the village of Vranici, writes Vijesti.me.
The magnitude of the earthquake was 3 degrees Richter scale. The center of the earthquake is located at a depth of 20 km.
As reported by the Seismological Institute, the earthquake could not cause material damage in the epicentral area.
- Based on the theoretical model of the macroseismic field of this region, the magnitude of the earthquake and the depth of the hypocenter, this earthquake could not cause material damage in the epicentral region - according to the Department of Seismology of the Institute of Hydrometeorology and Seismology.
On January 4th, a strong earthquake measuring 5.3 on Richter scale was recorded between Serbia, Montenegro, and Albania, and it was felt all the way to Belgrade, the Agencies reported.
